Archives: Dandelion (2014)

For MH17, especially the 3 little ones onboard

Oh little one, precious one
Did they ever tell you
The Dandelion pure and white
Gently splitting and gone with the wind
The Dandelion that grants wishes come true

But you wouldn’t have known
In your mother’s arms you slept
When wishes turned to ash

Oh little one, precious one
Did they ever tell you
The Birds that fly young and free
Gently soaring and gone with the wind
The Birds that remind us of freedom so

But you wouldn’t have known
In your father’s lap you nested
With freedom torn to pieces

Oh little one, precious one
Did they ever tell you
The Plane high and mighty
Violently rupturing and gone with the wind
The Plane that reminds us of justice lost

But you wouldn’t have known
Between your parents you rested
When it all turned black

Archives: 一滴水/Droplet (2011)

A small dedication for the droplets that fall from the sky these days.

Little droplets from the sky
Won't you just stay and hang by

Small as you may seem
But through you we see
A view not often seen.

Seasons

Always start from Winter
Where all things sit bare
Silence prevalent as we sit in ambivalence.
You speak of the bitter cold
Like it has a hold
On this cold wintry ground
Despair holds no bounds
Hold your breath little one,
For its sign of better things to come

Always remember Spring
Where all things gain life
Pollens prevalent as we sit in creation.
You speak of last winter
Like it had a hold
On this wet dampened ground
We will break new ground.
Hold your breath little one,
For its sign of bigger things to come

Always enjoy Summer
Where all things sit happy
Sunshine resplendent as we sit in reverence
You speak of eternal hope
Like it has no end
On this warm and smooth sand
Happiness holds no bounds
Hold your breath little one,
For its sign of the end to come

Always understand Autumn
Where all things wither
Gusts abundant as we sit in silent retrospection
You speak of time passing
Like it slipped through this red and brown pile
Hold your breath little one,
For its sign of bitter times to come.

Don’t you see now?
That we’ve gone Full Circle.
The cycle inevitable
Our pain inequitable
But remember to start at our lowest
Only then do we know of better things to come.
